Granite Surface Repair
Invisible Fixes for Hard Stone Surfaces
Granite is the king of natural stone countertops, admired for its unique crystalline structure and extreme hardness. It adds immediate value and elegance to any kitchen. Despite its toughness, granite is not indestructible. Heavy pots, dropped bottles, or sharp impacts on edges can cause chips that disrupt the smooth, polished surface. These defects can harbor dirt and become rough spots that snag clothing or skin, detracting from the stone's premium feel.
Replacing a granite slab is an incredibly expensive and disruptive undertaking. Restoration is the smart choice. Our light-curing technology uses high-strength materials that mimic the translucency and hardness of natural stone. By layering clear and colored resins, we can recreate the depth and complexity of granite, making the repair virtually undetectable while restoring the surface's seal. This method preserves the original stone's character and extends its lifespan indefinitely.
Application Steps
Clean
Use acetone or alcohol to clean the chip. Remove any loose crystals.
Fill
Apply the resin. Use clear resin mixed with color to mimic depth.
Cure
Place the curing film and use the LED light to harden the resin instantly.
Polish
Sand flush and polish. Granite takes a high polish, so take time with the final step.
